My Pen, Pen, [2010 - 2011] Isidora Masson

old tales

Little Princess

Little Princess, I declare
There’s nothing finer than your hair
Its perfect waves and perfect length
And how it seems to give you strength

Little Princess, how you stare!,
Into mine eyes I cannot bare
As if once lost and by me found
Your tiny feet swept off the ground

Little Princess, do you like
The boldness in this insane knight
Who speaks and acts with honesty
Am I what you could never be?

For you appear so full of feeling
So very deep, bewildering
But all of it fades and subsides
When all you do is run and hide

Little Princess, could you care
For something other than your hair?
